The long -awaited resumption of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is marred by a relentless attack of showers in the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The location had to organize the collision between the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Saturday 17 May, but the start was delayed due to grim conditions.
Rain also appeared at the location during the run -up to the competition. In a social media post from RCB, Big-Hitter Tim David was seen who splashing around the moist outfield. Moreover, the prediction for the weekend also did not paint a promising image.
Excited fans were collected at the location a few hours before the planned start, because there was no rain at that time. Visits from Virat Kohli’s test jerseys were distributed on social media, while Ian Bishop and Aaron Finch had even carried out the pitch report.
But the weather has since become worse. The pitch and the area around it are completely covered because heavy rainfall continues to bully. Although the ChinnasWamy has a solid sub-air discharge system, the rain must decrease to edit its magic.
According to the latest update, although the intensity of the rain has been reduced, it is still strong enough to keep everyone at bay for the time being.
Slement Again has already affected competitions in the M ChinnasWamy Stadium in IPL 2025
The competition phase collision between RCB and PBKs at the M Chinnaswamy was a 14-over per side affair when the rain was generally reduced. Although the outfield was in a soaked state after the spell of showers, the ground was restored in a short time in an impeccable state for the competition to continue.
Rain has also marked its presence in other IPL 2025 matches such as KKR versus PBKS, MI vs GT and PBKS vs DC so far. With the rear -up schedule that expands the tournament until the first week of June, rain can appear in many more IPL competitions.
