Brown promoted her new Substack on a recent episode of the Ankler podcast and discussed Prince Harry’s split with the royal family — calling the defection a “tragedy.”
The couple left the royal family in 2020 and moved to California after marrying at Windsor Castle in 2018.

She said: ‘In England they are constantly making a career out of trashing Harry. But actually the thing about Harry is that he is very much Prince Harry.
‘And that’s the tragedy of it all: he is without a doubt the most talented member of the royal family when it comes to being a prince, which is all he can do. .”

She went on to slam Markle, calling the former Suits actress a “perfectionist” at doing the “wrong thing.”
The magazine editor continued: “I think he’s pretty much under Meghan’s spell. The problem with Meghan is that she has the worst judgment of anyone in the world.

Brown added: “She’s a perfectionist when it comes to doing it all wrong. Her problem is that she doesn’t listen.”
“She has all these people, asks their opinions and then doesn’t follow them. She does what she wants to do. And all her ideas are, unfortunately, total nonsense.”

“The military was great for him, and he was extremely good and skilled there. That really helped shape him into a real person.”
Brown called Harry “the lamb to the slaughter in this situation,” adding: “He was terribly impressed with Meghan. He thought she knew everything, she convinced him she was the smart Hollywood wheeler-dealer who could come in and make stars out of them and all the rest.
“And he basically followed her blindly like a child.”

Brown said of Markle’s past choices: “Unfortunately, she’s made every mistake in the book, and she’s a little out of control. I don’t know where Meghan is going.”
She also said that Harry could still “make a comeback,” stressing that he “will always be Prince Harry – the Queen’s grandson and Diana’s son.”

Brown hinted that Harry was “childish” and inexperienced, adding that he was blindly lured into their relationship by Markle’s Hollywood glamour.
She explained: “He’s so naive and really uneducated in the ways of the world. Being Prince Harry means I doubt he’s ever booked a table in a restaurant.”

In the same interview, Brown talked about his previous collaborations with disgraced producer Harvey Weinstein – most notably when she created her Talk Magazine alongside his Miramax Films.
Weinstein is currently in jail awaiting a new sex crimes trial in New York after his 23-year prison sentence was overturned in April. He also faces new charges and a trial in Los Angeles.

At the launch of her 1999 magazine, Brown recalled, “Well, the Harvey I went to work for had just [produced] ‘The English Patient’, so he was the god of quality at that time.”
“And in probably the dumbest career move of anyone’s life, I left the New Yorker magazine to go into business with Harvey.”

Brown said that when she would speak at conferences on women’s empowerment, attendees looked “crushed” when she said Weinstein never sexually harassed her.
She added, “I mean, they all want him to have sexually harassed me.”

Despite never making unwanted sexual advances to the editor, Brown said Weinstein was “very difficult in other ways.”
She continued, “I completely understand how people could end up being very afraid of him. It’s pretty incredible to think that he’s sitting there in that prison, and he’s probably going to die there.”

In an earlier interview with The Sunday Times, Brown also said that Weinstein “traumatized” her and left her an “emotional wreck.”
She said: “He was constantly pushing me in a direction I didn’t want to go. I felt like I lost my self-esteem last year with Harvey.
“I started letting him bully me. I made a lot of mistakes because he bullied me. He changed the vision of the magazine and I couldn’t resist.”
