The Chinese tech giant Huawei has its newest flagship, the Huawei Mate XT, launched in the Philippines with availability from 7 March.
Huawei has that the device as the world’s first tri-fold smartphone and Buzz generates since the first teaser in China.
The Huawei Mate XT became available on 7 March in the Philippines, priced at ₱ 199,999, and includes an exclusive bundle with a value of ₱ 39,998.
The Tri-Fold Promises Vlaggenschip improved multitasking with its adjustable design with three screen, which can unfold in 6.4-inch, 7.9-inch and 10.2-inch displays.
“It is essentially a laptop in your pocket,” said George I. Royeca, Chief Executive Officer of Angkas, while he shared his feelings on stage during an interview during the launch event on 28 February.
The tri-fold mechanism of the device is made possible by Huawei’s advanced precision-hinge system. It is also built with non -Newtonian liquid materials and a 322 cm² Ultradunne glass (UTG) layer.
Despite the tri-fold design, it is said that the Huawei Mate XT is as thin as two stacked coins when it is folded and as slim as a single coin when it completely unfolded, according to Huawei.
“We could make it thin, we could make it compact … The secret here is the hinge and the display, which makes the unthinkable possible,” said Jose Emmanuel Ramos, senior product expert at Huawei Consumer Business Group, Huawei Philippines, during the Lancing Event.
Apart from the remarkable tri-fold design of Huawei Mate XT, the device also has an ultra chromacamamera that promises photography at the flagship level, as well as a combined battery capacity of 5,600 mAh.
During the launch event, Huawei also announced the new Huawei Matepad Pro 13.2 tablet and the Huawei Band 10 Wearable.
The newest tablet from Huawei has a flexible OLED Papermatte display, designed to significantly reduce blinding and reflections, making it ideal for extensive screen use.
In the meantime, the Huawei Band 10 has a pro-level sleep analysis, an emotional welfare assistant and gcash integration for easier payment transactions.
