One of our most challenging projects was revitalizing a neglected urban area while preserving its cultural heritage. The project required navigating complex regulations, balancing the interests of different stakeholders and integrating modern sustainability practices without erasing historical value. It was a tough but ultimately rewarding undertaking.

How has your approach to leadership evolved over the years?

My leadership approach has evolved from directive to more collaborative. I learned the importance of active listening and empowering team members to express their ideas and solutions. Building a self-sustaining community center that provides education, healthcare and job placement in a previously underserved area has been immensely rewarding. Seeing the community flourish and become self-reliant is a powerful endorsement of our work and approach.

I believe that CSR will become even more integrated into companies’ core strategies, transcending traditional philanthropy. It’s about creating measurable impact and forming strategic partnerships that benefit both business and society. I also see a greater push for transparency and accountability in CSR initiatives.

What does success look like to you in your role as CEO?

To me, success means seeing tangible, positive impact in the communities we work with. It is about leaving a legacy of improved social and economic conditions through sustainable practices. Professionally, it is about North Star Alliances becoming a leader in corporate responsibility and an advocate for meaningful community partnerships.
