According to the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), cases of text hijacking in the Philippines are increasing at an alarming rate.
“Recently, there has been an increase in the number of reports of text hijacking data,” DICT Assistant Secretary for Legal Affairs Renato A. Paraiso told BusinessWorld in an interview.
Mr Paraiso reminded the public that practicing good cyber security hygiene and being careful with links can help people avoid falling victim to such cybercrime.
