The 7e edition of Industrial Transformation ASIA-PACIFIC (ITAP) — a HANNOVER MESSE event, organized by Constellar with international partner Deutsche Messe, will take place from October 14-16, 2024 at the Singapore EXPO. Against the backdrop of national policies driving artificial intelligence (AI) development and industry adoption 1 for long-term business and environmental sustainability, this year’s event will focus on the transformative power of AI in advancing regenerative manufacturing. As a technology enabler, AI optimizes resources and processes to achieve ESG goals while balancing business growth and environmental conservation. AI-driven solutions improve operational efficiency and resilience, improve workplace safety, reduce waste and help align manufacturing operations with sustainability goals, paving the way for a greener future.
ITAP is the most important showcase of manufacturing solutions in the region and also the starting point for innovations. This year, more than 400 products and solutions will be showcased from more than 30 countries, including industry leaders such as Amazon Web Services, Azbil Corporation, Delta Electronics, Jungheinrich Singapore, Red Hat, SAP, Siemens and many others. Regional and country pavilions from China, Germany, Hong Kong SAR, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea and the United Kingdom will also promote cross-border networking, collaboration and knowledge sharing in one vibrant market.
Launch of the industry’s first whitepaper outlining the AI adoption approach
ITAP 2024 is launching its first industry-specific whitepaper, “Regenerative Manufacturing – Unlock ASEAN Growth through Design and AI,” developed in collaboration with Kearney. The first of its kind aimed at accelerating the technological transformation of ASEAN’s manufacturing industries, more than 350 mid- to upper-level executives from various manufacturing industries, including CxO-level executives, participated in the surveys and interviews. The whitepaper explores how to optimize product design and integrate AI solutions unlocking regenerative manufacturing, providing ASEAN manufacturers with an attractive path to rapid growth.
The whitepaper identifies key trends critical for manufacturers in the region to capture growth opportunities and provides actionable steps to boost regenerative manufacturing. For example, almost 60 percent of respondents cited AI investments as the most common manufacturing trend, followed by a focus on ESG and long-term sustainability at almost 50 percent. The steps highlighted in the whitepaper are intended to balance profitability with environmental sustainability, helping manufacturers transform for long-term growth. The whitepaper also shows case studies from sectors where regenerative practices will be essential.
“There is a golden opportunity for ASEAN manufacturers to achieve $1.2 trillion in growth, and companies must ensure they are well positioned to do so. The journey to regenerative manufacturing will be iterative and evolve with continuous learning and adaptation. As a trusted advisor to leading companies worldwide, Kearney is proud to drive transformative impact through regenerative manufacturing,” said Mr. Keat Yap, Co-Lead Asia Pacific, Operations and Performance, Kearney.
More detailed information about the Whitepaper will be provided by report authors Keat Yap, Partner and Young Han Koh, Principal, both from Kearney at 11.40am on Day 1 at the Industrial Transformation Forum (ITF).
Learn more about AI implementation with ITAP’s AI Discovery Journey and at the Industrial Transformation Forum
With nearly 90% of Whitepaper respondents saying AI investments are critical, while only 23 percent are leading AI adoption, ITAP 2024 has a AI discovery journey for participants to discover practical applications of AI across the manufacturing value chain. Participants can discover actionable insights and tools to integrate AI into their operations, and explore AI solutions no matter where they are on their digital transformation journey.
AI integration is also central this year Industrial transformation Forum. Supported by strategic knowledge partners Deloitte, Kearney and McKinsey & Company, the two-day conference will provide participants with comprehensive insights and best practices from more than 60 influential global thought leaders. Major themes include:
- Leading The Crossroads by Leadership, Digital Transformation, and manufacturing complexity with AI
- Digitize with secure AI-powered intelligent operations
- Developing human-centric smart manufacturing strategies powered by AI
- Aligning sustainable manufacturing practices with AI-powered solutions
- Leveraging AI technology to build antifragile supply chains
