Jerusalem:
Israel’s parliament on Monday approved a bill banning the UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) from operating in Israel, despite objections from the United States.
Lawmakers approved the bill by a vote of 92 to 10, following years of harsh Israeli criticism of UNRWA, which has only increased since the start of the war in Gaza following the deadly Hamas attacks on October 7 last year.
