Kelce, 36, made a guest appearance on ESPN’s College Game Day on Saturday, Nov. 2, where he was challenged to score a field goal on behalf of hurricane relief funds.
“New heights!” Kelce roared as he tried to reach the target, a wink to himself and his brother Travispodcast of the same name.
However, the kick did not land between the goal posts. Cohost Pat McAfee then offered Kelce a second chance to make big money for charity.
“Remember what you said about kickers?” McAfee, 37, reminded Kelce of previous podcast comments he made recently that disparaged the football position as unimportant. The sports broadcaster then told Kelce that he knew on “good authority” that $200,000 in relief funds would be donated if he achieved the goal.
“No pressure. For the people!” McAfee teased.
Despite the crowd getting him excited, Kelce unfortunately missed the goal again.

“This guy sucks,” McAfee joked, before adding, “Jason, you haven’t let everyone down.”
Before Kelce’s two kicks, McAfee couldn’t resist asking if he’d be attending “your future sister-in-law’s concert” tomorrow night. (Travis, 35, is dating a pop star Taylor Swiftwho is in the middle of a three-night residency in Indianapolis Eras tour all weekend.)
“I feel 22, brother,” McAfee added, referencing Swift’s song of the same name.
Kelce, who didn’t reveal any potential Eras rise, accepted defeat due to his mediocre kicking skills.
“I’ve gained a whole new respect,” he said. “I’m bad at kicking, okay!”
Kelce previously went after the NFL position at “New Heights” last month.
“Kickers hit 60-yarders like it’s routine,” he told Travis on the Oct. 11 episode. “We need to make these field goal posts narrower. It’s too easy to make field goals now. We need to get to the rugby goalposts.”
Kelce added: “Kickers shouldn’t influence football games as much as they do now. We need to make kickers much less valuable. This is not what football is about. … Just throw the ball through the uprights! Why do we have to let this man come here and kick him, who doesn’t belong on the football field?’
According to Kelce, he didn’t want the athletes to take the field in “soccer boots.”
“And you can’t touch them,” Kelce complained. “We make you believe this is a football match.”
Kelce did give a shout-out to his former Philadelphia Eagles teammate Jake Elliott.
“He’s a great kicker, I just don’t agree with everything,” Kelce noted.
