Jason Kelce gets candid about why playing football against his little brother was aggravating Travis Kelce before retiring from the NFL.

After asking what it was like to compete against family on Monday, November 25, broadcast by Countdown on Monday eveningthe former Philadelphia Eagles center, 37, had a hilarious response for his cohosts.

“It’s annoying, that’s what it is,” Jason said, laughing. ‘Because he’s so good, that’s why. She [the Kansas City Chiefs] were very good. I was only lucky enough to beat Trav once, but hey, when you’re on the field [and] You’re getting ready to play your brother, there’s just something about seeing your brother out there. You get flashbacks of playing soccer together in the backyard.

Travis, 35, was drafted by the Chiefs in 2013 and has won three Super Bowl championships with the organization during his career in 2020, 2023 and 2024. He and the rest of the Kansas City team are currently looking for their third straight win. Super Bowl victory, with a 10-1 record so far in the 2024-2025 season. (The Chiefs lost their first game of the season to the Buffalo Bills on November 17.)

In turn, Jason was drafted by the Eagles in 2011 and played thirteen seasons for the franchise before announcing his retirement earlier this year in March. He joined shortly after his retirement news became known Countdown on Monday evening on ESPN, and made its network broadcast debut in September.

During a performance op Jimmy Kimmel Live! Earlier this month, Jason revealed that he will host a late-night talk show on ESPN in 2025.

“I’m starting, I believe it’s January 3rd…we’re going to do a late-night show during the postseason on ESPN,” he told the host Jimmy Kimmel. “When I first approached ESPN about potentially working for them…I love late-night shows. I remember watching sleepovers Conan O’Brien with my friends.”

He continued: “The biggest thing players say they miss when they leave the sport is the presence of the boys, the locker room and the banter. Because we can have this show, there will be a number of guys there – legends of the game, friends I played the game with, coaches, celebrities.

They call it Late Night with Jason Kelce has been picked up for five episodes and will air every week through February 1 in the early hours of Friday/Saturday at 1 a.m., according to The Hollywood Reporter. The show is filmed at Philadelphia’s Union Transfer in front of a live audience.

Jason’s upcoming late night performance isn’t the only exciting announcement the Kelce family has made this month.

The former NFL player and his old wife, Kylie Kelceannounced via Instagram on Friday, November 22, that they were expecting baby No. 4 – another girl.

“I feel like we got a really accurate portrayal of how each of the girls feels about having another sister,” Kylie, 32, captioned an adorable photo of the couple’s three kids’ hilarious reactions to getting a new sister. “At least Ellie, mom and dad are on the same page! 🤷‍♀️.”

In an instant, their youngest daughter, Bennett, is crying, while the eldest, Wyatt, covers her ears in shock. However, Elliotte, nicknamed ‘Ellie’, is all smiles.

“I love my kids so much, especially my daughters,” Jason said E! News on Monday. “I told someone out there because they were expecting their first — and they were looking at you. They smile at you. There’s just a way that kids are supposed to warm your soul in a way that nothing else can.

He added, “And it’s been such a blessing to have three healthy, smart, wonderful kids. And hopefully we welcome a fourth into this world, and we can see them fight and tear each other apart and all the good stuff.”
