J.D. Vance follows Donald Trump‘s lead and blames Kamala Harris for lives lost during the US withdrawal from Afghanistan… accusing the vice president of being ‘asleep at the wheel’.
The Ohio senator blasted the Biden administration’s handling of the Afghanistan exit while speaking in Erie, Pennsylvania on Wednesday … apparently blaming Joe Biden‘s vice president, who is now running for president.
Vance pointed the finger at Harris after being asked about an incident at Arlington National Cemetery, where two Trump campaign staffers reportedly got into an altercation with a cemetery worker during the former prez’s visit Monday, which was meant to honor the victims.
Monday’s incident took place on the third anniversary of the attack on Kabul airport, which killed 13 soldiers. Two campaign workers reportedly argued with a cemetery worker and pushed him aside in a disagreement over unauthorized photography.
The Arlington incident was “pretty sad,” but “it’s not surprising that it came from the Trump team,” a Harris campaign spokesman said.
Vance downplayed the incident and instead lashed out at Harris.
Vance said at the event on Wednesday: “She wants to yell at Donald Trump because he showed up? She can go to hell.”

He noted about the withdrawal from Afghanistan… “They died because Kamala Harris refused to do her job, and there has not been a single investigation or a single firing. Look, sometimes mistakes happen. That’s just the nature of government, the nature of government. But it’s a shame that those thirteen Americans lose their lives and don’t fire a single person.”
Trump expressed similar sentiments to Harris this week, criticizing her support for Biden’s handling of the Afghanistan withdrawal.
Speaking to the National Guard Association of the United States on Monday, 45 people said Harris and Biden were responsible for “the humiliation in Afghanistan,” which they said “caused the collapse of American credibility and respect around the world.”
Trump and his running mate are pulling out every weapon in their arsenal to use against Harris.
