Travolta said at the time, “Mommy and I love you.”
According to Travolta, Benjamin specifically struggled with Preston’s death. During an August 2021 performance at Kevin Hart’s Heart to heartTravolta said Benjamin was afraid of his father’s death.
“I [told him]’Well, it’s a whole different thing,’ and I’ve been working through the disagreements about my longevity and her limited life,” Travolta recalled. “I said, ‘But you know, Ben, you always love the truth and I’m going to tell you the truth about life. No one knows when they will go or when they will stay. ”
He added, “Your brother [Jett] left at the age of 16. Too young. Your mother left at the age of 57. That was too young. But who knows? I could die tomorrow. You could. Everyone can do it. So let’s look at it as if it were part of life. You don’t know exactly. You just do your best to live as long as possible.”
