Politics is not the only one Johnny Damon And Donald Trump once about … the former MLB star tells TMZ Sports Potus is right when it comes to Pete Rose‘s Hall of Fame applies too.
Trump went to his truth social page on Friday evening to demand MLB: “Go off fat, lazy ass“And put Rose in Cooperstown … and when we talked to Damon about the opinion on Monday, he told us he agreed.
The former Red Sox-Outfielder-Die actually the President of the President for Sport, Fitness and Nutrition during Trump’s first term in DC served that the game climate has changed so much since Rose had a Perma-Ban for gambling on baseball for the first time that he now thinks that it is the MLB’s Hit King instead.
“I know he made a mistake at the same time and it was so long and now all these baseball teams have these gambling sites that sponsor the teams,” Damon told us. “I don’t think Pete Rose has done as much as what is going on now.”
Damon also argued that what Rose did was not so unforgivable – and noted that he only ‘bet on his team to win’.
“At least he didn’t bet in his team to lose,” said Damon.
