On Monday’s episode of “The Daily Show,” Jon Stewart criticized President-elect Donald Trump for releasing a fragrance ad featuring First Lady Jill Biden.
“Trump was apparently traveling with his predecessor’s wife and attended the opening of Notre Dame with Jill Biden,” Stewart said. “It was a rare moment of reconciliation. One that would have given this country hope had it not been immediately undermined by the returning president who released an actual cologne ad that trivialized and sexualized that moment.”
On Saturday, Trump and Biden were seen together at the reopening of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, which was severely damaged by a fire in 2019. After an image of the couple spread across the internet, Trump used the photo for an ad for his new fragrance line, which he posted on Truth Social on Sunday.
The ad reads “A Fragrance Your Enemies Can’t Resist,” which is printed in bold letters below the photo of Trump and Biden at the reopening ceremony.
“Here are my new Trump perfumes and colognes! I call them fight, fight, fight, because they represent WINNING us,” Trump wrote in his Truth Social post sharing the ad. “Great Christmas gifts for the whole family.”
In the post, Trump shared a link to the official Trump Fragrances website, where the fragrances can be purchased for $199.
“You fucking won!” Stewart exclaimed over a roaring studio audience. “You don’t have to push merchandise anymore. I find it hard to believe I’m saying this, but it’s beneath you.
