In a large upset, Buffalo Bills Quarterback Josh Allen was named the 2024 NFL MVP in a historically rare victory on Thursday evening.
All, 28, received 27 votes in the first place to come forward with his first MVP prize about the first team All-Pro Quarterback Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens. Allen also had 22 votes in second place and a vote in third place and ended with 383 stamps. Jackson, already a double MVP, had 23 votes in first place, 26 votes in second place and a vote in fourth place for 362 stamps. The same voters have awarded 30 votes to Jackson and 18 votes to all in the All-Pro mood.
Allen’s victory only makes him the second quarterback that MVP (exclusive CO-MVPs) is called without being an Associated Press First-Team All-Pro selection that season. The only others was John Elway, who won the prize about the first team All-pro Joe Montana in 1987 (Steve McNeir van Tennessee and Indianapolis’ Peyton Manning were CO-MVPs in 2003 when Manning was named first-team All-Pro) .
“I know this is an individual price and it says that the most valuable player is on it. But I think it is derived from team success, and I love my team, “said Allen during the NFL Honors Show in New Orleans. “It really takes everyone to have team success, and I am so happy to be part of a great organization.”
After thanking the bills together with his friends, family and supporters, all recognized his fiancée, actress Hailee Steinfeld before he had concluded his acceptance speech.
“That said, be good. Do well. God bless. And go bills, “he said.

The seventh choice in the NFL design of 2018, all resulted in one of his most efficient seasons on the way to leading Buffalo (13-4) to his second AFC Championship Game appearance in five years and one victory shy of his first Super Bowl appearance since the 1993 season. He ended the campaign with 3,731 passing yards, 28 passing touchdowns and six intercepts for 531 hasty yards and 12 scores in 17 regular season. All further took the recording of 636 passing yards, six total touchdowns (four passes, two hurry) and no turnover in three postseason competitions.
Allen’s well -deserved victory arrives in a stunning way
Allen’s first career MVP Award, for many in the dressing room of the Bills, has long happened.
Many of his teammates in 2023 had the feeling that all was deprived of the honor, even though he had superior statistics for Jackson. All was even the player who was chosen in it Athletics‘s 2024 Anonymous NFL Player Poll as the next person who wins their very first MVP prize. In addition to having that prophecy come out, this time the roles were reversed, where all was not so flashy with statistics such as Jackson but came away with the honor.
Regardless of the voice dynamics, all is an incredibly earning winner. Without a doubt he played the best football of his career in 2024 and helped to elevate a Pass-Catching room that has no player above 850 receiving yards and only had two players above 500. The recipients also had trouble separating the entire season. But the bills were incredibly challenging to defend because of all, while he made his reputation as a Quarterback that made way too many turnovers.
When teams chose to lean back against him, he did not force and took what was given under it until the defense would come closer to the line of scrimmage. As soon as she crawled up, he hit them over the top for a partition. He could make something of nothing with a throw away from the structure, usually when he rolls to the right. And if nothing was available, everyone was constantly in danger of making things happen with his legs and to pick up a first or more.
Allen is the first Bills player to win the prize in 33 years, when Thurman Thomas dropped back in the 1991 season. He also made franchise history as the only Quarterback from Bills who won MVP since the team joined the NFL in 1970.
Without a doubt, now that he has his first MVP prize, Allen’s Sustainable Success and the ability to do more with less around him in the discussion for the best player in franchis history. Although the bills were short of the AFC Championship Game, Allen’s 2024 campaign, which is now called an MVP year, will have been remembered about the fans of Bills for some time. – Joe Buscaglia, Bills defeated writer
