Jude Law Teases Nancy Meyers About ‘The Holiday’ Sequel

Just in time for Christmas, Judas Law gives its character ‘The Holiday’ some love.

The festive 2006 film was written and directed by Nancy Myers and stars Law, 51, next to it Cameron Diaz, Jac Black And Kate Winslet.

Myers, 75, spoke with Law over lunch after the actor reached a major milestone in his career: a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles, California. Meyers shared a video of Law on social media, with the two teasing a return to the holiday classic.

“Congratulations Judas! ⭐️,” Myers captioned one video shared via Instagram on Thursday, December 12. “I loved being at a luncheon for Jude today and I had one question for him….”

In the clip shared during the celebratory lunch, Meyers slowly turns across a white tablecloth to face Law, who is sitting across from her. The two sat on either side of a dessert parfait and a glass of champagne, while Law was dressed in a beige suit.

“Look who I’m having lunch with today,” she said in the video. “Congratulations on your well-deserved star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. That’s great.”

Law received the prestigious honor in front of two of his children, Rafferty, 28, and Iris, 24, and his wife Phillipa Coan, who were present during Thursday’s ceremony.

“Thanks, Nancy,” Law said in return. “It’s so nice to see you.” Myers then noted how long it had been since the two had seen each other.

“It’s so great to see you,” she said. “I don’t think I’ve seen you since we finished The holiday.”

Myers then started asking about a possible sequel to the critically acclaimed film, saying, “Speaking of which, I’ve seen you interviewed a lot, and they keep asking you if there’s going to be a sequel, what do you think?”

Law sighed before repeating her question and saying, “Will there be a sequel?” The Young Pope The star then picked up a white cloth napkin and placed it on his head, then put on a pair of glasses over the napkins.

The British star referenced a scene from the film in which Law’s character pretends to be a character called “Mr. Napkin Head” to entertain his children.

Myers continued to tease a sequel by commenting on his antics: “Is that a yes, Jude?”

This generated responses from fans of The holiday who were excited about the possibility of a second film.

“I can’t actually handle this,” one person wrote in the comments, while someone else said: “Nancy this isn’t funny!!! You better not mess with us!
