Justin Baldoni warns Disney and Marvel to keep all documents relating to the various characters Ryan Reynolds played in “Deadpool & Wolverine” as he prepares his trial… and he targets a certain character who he thinks was meant to mock and bully him.
Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedmansent a legal letter, viewed by TMZ, to Marvel’s Kevin Feige and Disneys Bob Igerindicating that he believes Reynolds openly mocked Baldoni in a scene from the July 2024 release.
In the scene, Reynolds, who plays a character named “Nicepool,” drops the line, “Where the hell is the intimacy coordinator?!” He also compliments Blake Lively‘s character Ladypool for “backing down” after having a baby… and makes a comment about being a feminist.
Lively recently accused Baldoni of sexually harassing and makes her fat postpartum body on the set of “It Ends With Us”. As for the feminist line, it seems like Baldoni thinks it’s a joke to tout herself as a feminist and ally during the promo for the film.
The letter demands that the studio “preserve all documents relating to or reflecting a deliberate attempt to mock, harass, ridicule, intimidate or bully Baldoni through the character of ‘Nicepool’.”
Reynolds, who wore multiple hats as writer, producer and star of “Deadpool & Wolverine,” stands next to his wife Blake amid the drama. Baldoni already dragged Ryan into the mess, claiming he harassed him during a meeting, but… sources close to Ryan have denied these allegations.
The letter notes that some of the expected claims could include tortious interference with contracts and civil racketeering.
