As the clock wound down to the final episode of Paramount Network’s “Yellowstone,” series star Kelly Reilly confirmed on Instagram on Sunday that the Dec. 15 episode is in fact the main series finale.
“Hello, I am currently so deeply involved in another role about another country in Britain that is worth fighting for,” Reilly wrote. “But across the pond, the show’s finale takes place tonight. Whatever the future holds, this is the end of the show we have been creating for the past seven years.”
Reilly then thanked Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan and the entire cast and crew of the Western drama.
“Words cannot convey how I feel about the people I have had the opportunity to work and create with over the past few seasons,” Reilly added. “I have made real friends for life. The support of the crew and the trust and dedication of the cast. The words I have to say and the woman I get to inhabit. It has changed me. It enlightened me. It challenged me in every way and I will forever be grateful for it. To Taylor Sheridan who took a chance on me and continued to write her in a way that made me feel on fire as an actor. Thank you Taylor.”
While this marks the end for the main series, Reilly will soon star alongside her husband Cole Hauser in a spin-off series “Yellowstone,” following their characters Rip Wheeler and Beth Dutton. Sources confirmed this Variety that the series is nearing production.
