Kim Kardashian crank up the jam again!
The Kardashians star and co-founder of Skims, 44, surprised fans by releasing a cover of Earth Kitt‘Santa Baby’ releases Sunday, December 22, just in time for Christmas.
Kim’s cover was produced by none other than her brother-in-law, Travis Barkerwho is married to Kim’s older sister, Kourtney Kardashian. The song was released on streaming services on Sunday via DTA Records, Barker and Kim’s Kimsaprincess, Inc. record label.
Kim also dropped an accompanying video for her return to music on Sunday. In the dystopian clip, Kim crawls across the floor on all fours in a blonde wig and money, while an eclectic cast of characters appear to celebrate a not-so-merry Christmas. The video ends with a close-up of a creepy Santa holding a video camera that turns out to be Macaulay Culkinstar of the iconic holiday movie, Home alone.

Kim’s Christmas cover comes 13 years after she made her music debut with the song “Jam (Turn It Up),” produced by a Grammy-winning music producer The dreamin 2011. Kim said at the time that she was releasing the song for charity and that she would not be releasing a full album.
During a performance in August 2014 at Watch what happens live with Andy CohenKim admitted she regretted her foray into music.
“It’s definitely a memory and it was a fun experience. We gave the proceeds to a cancer organization,” she says said. “But if there’s one thing in life I wish I didn’t do… I don’t like it when people get involved in things they shouldn’t do. And I don’t think I should have done that. For example, what gave me the right to think that I could become a singer? For example, I don’t have a good voice.”
In addition to her return to the recording studio, Kim has made great strides in Hollywood this year. She is currently filming a new legal drama created by Ryan Murphy for Hulu. Everything is fairincluding an all-star cast Sarah Paulson, Niecy Nash, Glenn Close and more, set to premiere in 2025. Kim will also star in and produce a comedy titled Netflix The fifth wheel.
“It’s great,” Paulson praised Kim’s work ethic in an interview with Variety in November. “She has an incredible presence. She’s fun, she’s wild, she lives in the moment. She’s great.”
