Liam Payne‘s close friend, now in the crosshairs of Argentine authorities – insists as he left the singer at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel an hour before his death, he seemed to be doing well… But authorities and eyewitnesses say that’s anything but true.
Roger Nores appears in our new documentary, “TMZ Investigates: Liam Payne: Who’s to Blame?” – which airs Monday evening at 8pm ET on FOX – says he was with Liam occasionally on the day he fell from the hotel balcony until his death.
Nores says he checked on Liam three times during the day, and when he left an hour before the fatal fall, Liam seemed happy and fine, if a little tipsy.
But authorities say Liam became unhinged over the course of the day… not just by drinking heavily and using cocaine, but by texting Roger, “Can you get 6 grams?”
And then there is Bret Watsona Chicago man who was at the hotel for his wedding, who says Payne was in his wedding party all day… Plus, the singer looked increasingly drunk as the day went on.

Watson says that just over half an hour before Liam fell from the balcony, the singer was lying on a couch and looking outside when he saw something on his computer that enraged him. Watson says Liam jumped up in anger and slammed the laptop to the ground.
As we reported, Liam was causing enough trouble at that hotel employees grabbed him by the arms and legs and took him back to his room, where they left him alone.
The documentary features an interview with a waiter who is also in the crosshairs of the authorities for supplying Liam with cocaine.
