A 28-year-old man who reportedly shot a man in the neck in Denver’s Washington Park and shot another man who tried to sit next to him on a couch, the police said he thought the victims were involved Psychological military operationsaccording to a declaration of arrest.
Ryan Martin Egelston is accused of four counts of attempted murder in the first degree, one count of mistreatment and one counting of evaluating vehicles, all crimes, according to the court reports.
He is also accused of six conquering charges with regard to violent crimes and weapons.
Egelston was sitting on a couch in Washington Park in the 900 block of South Downing Street around 2 p.m. on Sunday when a man approached him and asked him to sit on the couch.
Witnesses told the police that they saw Egelston spit, push and hit the man in the lower back, and while the man ran away, Egelston pulled out a gun and shot at him. The bullet was later found in the man’s rear bicycle tire.
Egelston then walked south and shot a man from behind about a minute later and hit him in the neck and jaw, before trying to flee the scene in a red Hyundai -sedan. Denver police officers rammed his vehicle and arrested him.
Egelston told the police that he was not going to shoot someone, that he thought the two victims were involved in Psyop’s and that he was previously admitted to the hospital for psychological problems.
Egelston is in custody of a $ 1 million bail and will appear in court on Monday.
