Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has given Manchester United an F grade in his interim report. The Premier League season is almost halfway through and clubs are now preparing for the busy festive period. Carragher gave his former club Liverpool an A.
Carragher said he would have given Arne Slot’s side an A+ had they not dropped points at home to Nottingham Forest and Fulham. Forest, managed by former Wolves coach Nuno Espirito Santo, received an A+ from Carragher for their impressive performances this season.
Liverpool currently top the table with 39 points, while Chelsea and Arsenal follow closely behind them in second and third place with 35 and 33 points respectively. Defending champion Manchester City received an E+ after losing six of its seventeen games.
Manchester United are performing extremely poorly this season and are currently in thirteenth place in the table. They sacked former manager Erik ten Hag midway through the campaign and brought in Ruben Amorim from Sporting CP. But the Portuguese is also having a hard time in the Premier League.

Liverpool and Chelsea are just four points apart in the Premier League
Liverpool and Chelsea are just four points apart in the Premier League, but the Reds still have a game in hand. It is expected that both teams will compete for the title. Third-place Arsenal are six points behind the Merseyside club after playing an extra game.
Carragher also spoke about Marcus Rashford’s repeated exclusion from the squad and believed his future may be over at the club. For Manchester City, Carragher said they were in desperate need of a rebuild ahead of their next season.
