Mickey Rourke has agreed to leave “Celebrity Big Brother UK” after his continuous use of attacking language, Variety has confirmed.
“Mickey Rourke agreed to leave the celebrity Big Brother House tonight after a discussion with Big Brother about further use of inappropriate language and cases of unacceptable behavior,” said a spokesperson for “Celebrity Big Brother” said Variety.
Rourke’s exit from “Big Brother” comes from a disagreement between the “Sin City” actor and his roommate, Chris, during a task. There was no physical exchange of words, but Rourke used language that was considered ‘threatening and aggressive’.
Earlier this week, Rourke received a warning for inappropriate comments against fellow participant Jojo Siwa. He said about Siwa that he would “vote the lesbians very quickly.” Siwa heard his remark and replied: “That is homophobic, if that was your reasoning.” He also said, “I finished -“, in reference to the smoking area of the house, but then he gestured to Siwa and said, “I’m not talking about you.”
Rourke was then reprimanded in the confessional chair, where the show told him that he would “be removed from the Big Brother house” if the behavior continued to exist. He then gave the following apology: “I apologize. I have no unfair intentions. I just talked, you know. I didn’t take it so seriously. I didn’t mean bad intentions and if I did, sorry.”
After the incident with SIWA, a spokesperson for ITV said: “All housemates receive respect and inclusion training and an extensive briefing from the senior team of ‘Big Brother’ to prepare them for living in the house and to make ‘Big Brother’s’ expectations for appropriate behavior and language. Home resources are tanged 24 hours per day.’
