Criticism has followed Paul throughout his boxing career.
Heading into Friday’s fight, Paul has a record of 10-1 with seven knockouts.
However, a significant portion of his wins have come against MMA fighters who are well past their prime.
His only loss came at the hands of fellow professional boxer Tommy Fury.
Paul’s showdown with Tyson will undoubtedly further increase interest in the fight, which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Tyson is expected to make around $20 million by stepping back into the ring, while Paul claims he’ll “make $40 million and knock out a legend.”
The fight was originally scheduled for July but was postponed after Tyson suffered a medical scare during a flight between Miami and Los Angeles.
