Mo season 2 trailer reveals Hannibal Buress and Matt Rife as guest stars

“Mo” has unveiled a new set of guest stars, along with the season 2 trailer.

Comedians Hannibal Burress, Matt Rife, Liza Koshy and Ralph Barbosa plus rapper Slim Thug are all part of the season 2 guest cast, along with previously announced guest stars Simon Rex and Johanna Braddy.

The trailer opens with Mo (series co-creator Mo Amer) complaining to Barbosa, apparently a street food vendor, about being stuck in Mexico for six months – a follow-up to the season 1 finale, in which Mo is accidentally moved there from Houston transported. without a passport due to his status as an undocumented Palestinian refugee. “Mo, why do you want to go back to America so badly?” says Barbosa. “You’ve been bouncing around that embassy for months, man.”

Rife plays an official with whom Mo argues at the embassy. “Maybe you just need to come to terms with the fact: you’re Mexican now. Feliz cumpleaños,” Rife says mockingly, using the Spanish expression for “happy birthday.” (Koshy is only seen for a moment in the trailer. Burress only appears in a newly released image from the season, which depicts him wearing a white lab coat in a drugstore. Slim Thug also appears in a new image, while he stands outside with a distraught Mo.)

Later in the trailer, Mo crosses a deep river on foot with several other people in distress before a judge hears him say, “You crossed the border into the United States illegally.” A sentence of deportation is ordered.” He is given an ankle monitor, but apparently continues to fight his asylum case, as the trailer also shows him asking his lawyer (Lee Eddy) if it is possible for him to live with his mother (Farah Bsieso) and brother (Omar Elba ) to travel. ) to Palestine.

Meanwhile, upon returning to the US, Mo discovers that his girlfriend Maria (Teresa Ruiz) is dating a new man (Rex), with whom he has a public feud. “You’re a damn fraud!” he shouts.
