An early morning Aurora crash left a motorcyclist dead after a sedan veered into the bike lane Monday, police said.
The unidentified man was riding a stolen Harley Davidson west on East Jewell Avenue around 12:20 a.m. Monday when an older, beige sedan deliberately sideswiped the motorcycle, according to an Aurora Police Department news release.
Police said the sedan caused the motorcyclist to lose control of his motorcycle and crash at the intersection of East Jewell Avenue and South Havana Street.
Paramedics took the man to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries, police said. The man will be identified by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.
Investigators are looking for the beige sedan, which may have damage to the passenger door, police said.
Anyone with information about the crash or the sedan is asked to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
