NexHire organizes the first Tech Career Fest

In an initiative to expose Filipinos to opportunities in the tech industry, NexHire proudly hosted its first career event for the tech industry. ‘Future Forward: Tech Career Fest’, held last October 10 at KMC Solutions’ Podium West Tower in Mandaluyong, brought together more than 100 job openings and showcased a wide range of technology companies, upskilling programs, launch pads and accelerators.

Future Forward was made possible through partnerships with Web3PH and key participating companies including BayaniChain, Blockfy, White Cloak Technologies, PDAX, Fillr, Museigen and The Resistance Traders. The event also saw the participation of key ecosystem partners such as QBO Innovation, La French Tech Manila and AHG Labs, and education providers such as iACADEMY, Uplift Code Camp and Eskwelabs.

With the theme ‘Roots to Global’, the career celebration celebrated the Filipino value of kapwaemphasizing the shared identity within the community. The celebration brought together individuals from different backgrounds – freelancers, career changers, students and young professionals – eager to explore technological possibilities.

The event featured lectures, workshops and panels by NexHire’s partners and experts in the field. A Gen AI workshop from Eskwelabs provided a deep dive into applications of artificial intelligence for professionals, while a Business Economics workshop from Museigen and The Resistance Traders presented insightful strategies for integrating business and technology. The celebration also included a UX Design Talk by UXPH’s Richard Parayno, who discussed how user experience design is adapting in today’s digital landscape. There were also panel discussions on transitioning to a career in tech and starting a career as a freelancer.

NexHire is excited to build on the success of Future Forward. The team plans to host quarterly career fests to provide more opportunities for technology professionals and companies to connect. Their goal is to work with a wider range of companies, both local and regional, in the coming years.
