Northbound Interstate 25 closed in Castle Pines after crash and car fire

Northbound Interstate 25 is closed in Castle Pines after a single-vehicle crash caused a car fire, Douglas County officials said.

All northbound traffic is being diverted to Castle Pines Parkway due to an accident near Ridgegate Parkway, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said in a post on

South Metro Fire Rescue crews responded to a crash involving a fully involved vehicle fire around 4:50 p.m., the agency said on X. Firefighters discovered the crash involved an electric vehicle and are evaluating people for injuries.

Drivers should expect long delays and seek alternate routes between Castle Rock and Denver Travel alert from the Colorado Department of Transportation.
