Nothing has launched a new special edition of the Phone (2a) Plus that glows in the dark, but you’ll be lucky if you can get your hands on it.
The Phone (2a) Plus Community Edition is a co-creation of the phone, made in collaboration with some of the, you guessed it, community members. However, this special edition handset is limited to just 1,000 units.
It’ll cost a mid-range £399, just like the regular Plus, but you’ll have to be quick when it goes on sale on November 12. It will be available via the official store and through ‘retail partners’, followed by the company’s Nothing Store in Soho, London, on November 16.

Presumably some of the limited stock will be held back for the physical store, for those who can travel there.
You can register your interest online, but you have to be quick to have a chance to win the Phone (2a) Plus Community Edition.
There is no indication that it is first come, first served, but “community members who participated in the project will be given priority.”
The Community Edition Project received more than 900 submissions and invited the community to have a say on all aspects of the phone, including hardware, wallpapers, packaging and marketing.

The glow-in-the-dark tailgate is made of green-tinted phosphorescent material that not only looks cool but also helps you find it in the dark.
“This special edition reflects Nothing’s commitment to breaking down barriers between business and community, with every element shaped by the imagination of our users,” said Nothing.
The Nothing Store Soho will also be hosting an exhibition showcasing the winning designs, components and processes from November 2, 11am to November 28, 6pm.
