The National Rifle Association of India (Nrai) has announced a 12-person Indian team for the upcoming World Cup from Shotgun that is planned in Nicosia, Cyprus, from 3 to 12 May.
Tokyo Olympian Kynan Chenai will lead the Indian Trap Squad in the World Cup 2025 of the shotgun. He will be accompanied by Shardul Vihan and Bhowneseh Mendiratta in the men category. Sabeera Haris, Kirti Gupta and Rajeshwari Kumari will be the Indian Shooters in action in the ladies’ fall events.
Olympian Mairaj Ahmad Khan will be the face of the Indian side and the responsibility will be up to the 49-year-old to deliver some exceptional versions in skeet events. Abhay Singh Sekhon and Rituraj Singh Bundela are the other two male shooters in Skeet, while the female shooters in Skeet events are Yashasvi Rathore, Maheshwari Chauhan and Parinaaz Dhaliwal.
Earlier, India had announced a team of 35 members for the ISSF shooting party World Cups in Peru and Argentina, led by double bronze medal winner Manu Bhaker. Olympic medal winners of Paris Swapnil Kusale and Sarabjot Singh did not succeed in earning places in the shootings of India.
The Argentina bone of the World Cup 2025 shooting will take place from 1 to 11 April, while the Peru stage of the competition will be kept planned from 13 to 22 April. Positions, air gun, 25m fast fire gun, 25m sports gun, Val and skeet for men and women.
