Smart rings are making headlines around the world, and if you want to join the hype train, the leading model is being discounted for the first time in the US.
The Oura Ring Gen 3 is available now starting at $282 on Amazon, down from its usual price of $349. This is the black colorway in the Horizon (round) form, although other shades like silver, gold, and brushed titanium are also available have discounts of up to 19%.
This deal won’t last long as it’s part of the Amazon Prime Day sale. which ends tonight at 11:59 p.m. You must be a Prime member to take advantage of the discount, although new members can get a 30-day trial. This gives you free and fast delivery, plus access to Prime Video.
If you don’t have Prime, Best Buy is also offering a generous $50 savings on the Oura Ring.
If you want a wearable that’s simple, understated and doesn’t distract you with notifications, this is ideal. It has a battery life of up to a week and can track your steps, heart rate and sleep. Moreover, it matches any outfit, unlike a large smartwatch.
There’s a catch: to use these features, you’ll have to pay for an Oura subscription, which will set you back an additional $5.99 per month.
If that’s a dealbreaker for you, there’s another smart ring hitting shelves next week. Samsung’s Galaxy Ring has a higher initial cost of $399, but there is no subscription involved. Plus, it’s brand new, unlike the Oura that was launched three years ago.
