Overweight doctor loses 25 kg in 42 days, wins several Fitness Awards

A doctor who has dropped an impressive 25 kilogram in just 42 days has become viral on Chinese social media platforms after he eventually won several prizes during a fitness match, according to a report in South -China Morning Post. The 31-year-old Wu Tiangen, who worked as a surgeon in the Zhongnan hospital of Wuhan University in the province of Central Hubei, decided to start the fitness trip after arriving because of the sedentary lifestyle that is often associated with hospital work.

Wu received a light liverlever in 2023 with its weight that reached 97.5 kg last year. In his daily work, Wu treated with obese patients and helped them to lose weight through surgery. After seeing his condition, however, Wu decided to shake things up.

“If I can’t save myself, how can I save others?” said wu.

WU hired Shi Fan, a top athlete who won the general fit model championship last year at the IFBB World Fit Model Championships in Lithuania, as his coach and started the journey for weight loss.

The student-coach’s duo has increased a plan to throw fat and increase the muscles for a short period. The only non-negotiations in the process were practicing for two hours every day and consistent six hours of sleep.

The competition

His dedication was such that he managed to reduce his weight in about six weeks. As the competition approached, WU strengthened its training by spending almost four hours a day in the gym.

“Wu’s training intensity exceeds that of many professional athletes,” said Shi.

Wu with a weight of 73.5 kg and 182 cm long, Wu participated in the Tianrui Cup -Fitness and Bodybuilding match in January. As the only doctor in the fight, the challenge was intimidating, but Wu managed to win the champion titles in the newcomer and Fit models categories, as well as the most popular participant.

Quizzed about his advice to those who want to become healthy like he, said Wu: “You have to make a long -term plan to lose weight and to get it. I don’t argue that drastic, short -term methods that have to eat very little,” said Wu.

According to the report, WU has already helped around 100 people to reduce their weight.
