“Queer Eye” star Jonathan Van Ness’ first comedy special, “Fun and Slutty,” premieres Jan. 23 on the streaming platform Veeps.
The official description of the special, filmed in front of a live audience in Austin, says Van Ness, who identifies as non-binary, “wants to educate an unsuspecting audience about the definitions, tricks and stigmas of slutty behavior.”
“The special takes us all through a sometimes shocking journey of political commentary alongside lighter portions of humour, from traditional women’s trends to Ye Olden Days where you have to use Mapquest to find your cock date – all done with the fantastic haircut, infectious laughter and beaming smile that is purely JVN,” reads the press release announcing the special.
In the special’s debut trailer, Van Ness says: “It’s these damn Republicans – they’ve been trying to ban sex education for years. I’m going to return it. Yes! I’m your professor, Jonathan Van Nasty. And I want you to basically think of this as a sex ed lesson for adults.”
“Fun and Slutty” follows Van Ness’ global comedy tours, “Jonathan Van Ness: Road to Beijing” and “Imaginary Living Room Olympian,” which sold out theaters in 40 cities in the U.S., Canada, Great Britain, Australia and New York Zealand .
Veeps All Access subscribers can access “Fun and Slutty” for free as part of their subscription, while individual tickets for the livestream are available for $19.99. The special will premiere on January 23 at 5pm PT with a seven-day rewatch period.
