It was only a matter of time before a comedian made fun of Australian breakdancer Raygun, whose performance at the Paris Olympics this weekend earned her zero points and inspired countless memes. Saturday Night Live alum Rachel Dratch did this Monday night on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” interrupting the late-night host’s monologue with some crazy dance moves.
“Breakdancing has made its Olympic debut, and everyone is still talking about the competitor from Australia named Raygun,” Fallon said as he showed a clip of Raygun’s performance, which featured lots of floor work and jumping that was reminiscent of a rabbit.
“You have to wonder where Raygun is right now,” Fallon continued, before being interrupted by the music the breakdancer used in her performance. Dratch then came out from behind the curtain, wearing an identical outfit to Raygun and did a rendition of the Australian’s now infamous dancing.
“Wow, Raygun! It’s Raygun, y’all!’ Fallon said between chuckles. “I have to ask you this: how are you feeling since your performance?”
Dratch responded while Raygun responded by dancing, dropping to the ground and ridiculously mimicking some twists. “Raygun, I see, you’re speaking through your dance moves,” Fallon said. “I understand.”
Fallon then danced along with Dratch, with the host also writhing and bunny hopping on the floor as the Roots played.
After her Olympic debut, Raygun told reporters (via ESPN) that “all my movements are original.”
She continued: “Creativity is very important to me. I’m going to go there and show my artistry. Sometimes it appeals to the jury, and sometimes it doesn’t. I do my thing, and it represents art. That’s what it’s all about.”
