'Real Housewives of London' will be released in 2025 as Hayu's first original

The hit ‘Real Housewives’ franchise is coming to London next year.

“The Real Housewives of London” marks the first original series from Hayu, NBCUniversal’s all-reality SVOD service, and will be produced by Monkey, the company behind the iconic British reality series “Made in Chelsea.” The show aims for a premiere at the end of 2025 and will be broadcast exclusively on Hayu.

The announcement was made Saturday evening following “Real Housewives” host and executive producer Andy Cohen’s panel at the first-ever Hayu FanFest in London. The sold-out event also featured panels with “Real Housewives” cast members Lisa Barlow, Sutton Stracke, Jessel Taank and Ashley Darby.

Casting is currently underway for ‘The Real Housewives of London’, with production scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2025.

“Tonight’s announcement of ‘The Real Housewives of London’ is Hayu’s first-ever original series commission and another major milestone in the growth story of our all-reality streaming service,” said Hendrik McDermott, managing director of Hayu and EMEA Networks and international direct-to-consumer at NBCUniversal. “It makes sense that such an iconic location in the UK – a key Hayu market – would be part of our strategy to further expand our offering with original content that serves loyal fans exceptionally well. We look forward to being the exclusive home of this latest installment in the wildly popular ‘The Real Housewives’ franchise.”

Helen Kruger Bratt, Managing Director of Monkey, added: “We are thrilled to bring fans ‘The Real Housewives of London’ thanks to the new UK commission with Hayu. Hayu is the ideal destination for this beloved reality series, giving audiences direct access to all the drama from this new set of British housewives. This is the 30th international iteration of the iconic ‘Housewives’ format, and it’s safe to say audiences won’t be disappointed!”

Previous international iterations of the ‘Real Housewives’ franchise include Athens, Vancouver, Melbourne, Budapest, Amsterdam, Johannesburg, Rome, Lagos, Munich and more. The longest-running international format is ‘The Real Housewives of Cheshire’, focusing on the lives of women in the English county, which has been airing for seventeen seasons.
