WASHINGTON – Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the nominee of President Trump to run the Ministry of Health and Human Services, gives away the reimbursements he could earn from a lawsuit about Merck’s HPV vaccine Gardasil – to one of his sons.
Kennedy has referred “Many hundreds of cases” to the Wisner Baum law firm, including related to Gardasil, according to a written response that Kennedy gave to the Senate Finance Committee. Kennedy is entitled to 10% of the reimbursements that the law firm earns for personal injury from those cases, either by settlement, judgment or otherwise.
Kennedy earned $ 856,559 from Wisner Baum referral costs from the beginning of 2023 to 21 December, according to his financial disclosures. The New York Times reported The fact that none of those reimbursements came from vaccine disputes, referring to the law firm, and Kennedy told senators that he did not receive reimbursements from the Gardasil rights.
