Rudy Giuliani just lost his license to practice law in New York.
The former NYC mayor has been disbarred by the State Bar after being disbarred for making “demonstrably false and misleading statements” about the 2020 presidential election.
Giuliani was one of Trump’s fiercest and steadfast supporters when the former president made false claims of election fraud.
When the State Attorney’s Office suspended Giuliani’s license, she determined that his actions posed an “imminent threat” to the public and that he had also “directly inflamed tensions” that led to the January 6 insurrection.
The former U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York has been criminally charged in Arizona for allegedly conspiring to overturn the 2020 election. He has pleaded not guilty.
