The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and the Galaxy S25 Ultra smartphones may have received a sneaky charging upgrade.
Since a few years, widespread grumbling have been over the charging facility of Samsung’s flagship smartphone, which has not changed dramatically for a while.
When they arrived in January, the Galaxy S25 series did not seem to change that. Both the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and the Galaxy S25 Plus, in particular, are limited to a fairly average 45W wired loading stand.
However, Samsung may have been dug in a small but welcome upgrade. Although you still do not get a loading stone in both box (although that is not unusual in 2025), Sammyguru claims that the bundled USB-C to USB-C cable is considerably better than before.

How Galaxy S25 Ultra and S25 Plus Charging has been improved
Both the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and the Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus sent with 25 W cables in the box, which means that they could not be trusted to reach the maximum loading speeds, even if you had a sufficiently fast plug -to -hand.
With the Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy S25 Plus, however, you apparently get a good 15V/3A USB-C cable that is the task of loading on the full 45W. All you have to do is find a loading source that is capable of work.
Of course, Samsung is still lagging behind many of its rivals on the loading speed. Recently the OnePlus 13 came with support for 100W charging, although you have to deliver that loading stone again.
It is slightly older and replaced soon, but last year Xiaomi 14 Ultra – perhaps the most direct competitor of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra in terms of rough specifications – came in the box with a 90 W hypercharge adapter.
Nevertheless, the progress of Samsung is, even if the Galaxy S25 Ultra has made a disturbing turnback elsewhere.
