The series “The Boys” makes a major change in the season 4 finale due to the filming of Donald Trumpas the episode has some striking parallels to the assassination attempt.
The episode of the Prime Video drama was originally titled “Assassination Run” and focused on the main characters trying to thwart a plot to assassinate the president. As a sequel to Saturday’s shooting during Trump’s rally, those at Prime Video clearly wanted to avoid being associated with violence… as they opted to retitle the episode and simply say “Season 4 Finale.”
The series also issued a warning ahead of the episode, stressing that the fictional political violence – written, filmed and edited long before last weekend – was “completely coincidental and unintentional.”
The statement continues: “Prime Video, Amazon MGM Studios, Sony Pictures Television and the producers of The Boys oppose, in the strongest terms, any form of real-world violence.”

We don’t blame ‘The Boys’ for being cautious in the aftermath of the Trump shooting. Some got in trouble for making light of the tragedy, including Tenacious D singer Kyle Gass.
ICYMI… Jacket black‘s bandmate dropped out of his talent agency and had his tour cancelled after making one ‘Don’t miss Trump next time’ comment during his concert in Sydney.

KG has since apologized for the comment, but the controversy has yet to die down.
Clearly, producers of “The Boys” don’t want that smoke.
