Simone Biles‘ Birth mother is ready to meet the Olympic hero in person… and says that after decades missing from her life, she wants to set things right.
When Biles was a toddler, she was placed in foster care because her mother… Shanonbattled drug and alcohol addiction. Simone’s maternal grandparents, Ron And Nellieintervened and adopted her and her sister, Adriain 2003.
Shanon said in a recent interview that she would like to make up for lost time, but leaves it to Simone and Adria to set this up.
‘I would like to make it up to Simone personally, I’m just waiting for her and [her younger sister] Adria,” Shanon countered the Daily Post.
‘I talk to Adria more than to Simone. I would just like to ask her to forgive me. Can we go further? Don’t judge me by my past. Let’s move on.’
The 52-year-old added: “I’m waiting for the opportunity, but I’m waiting for her to come to me. Let’s sit down. I just have to be patient.”
Despite their fractured relationship, Shanon said she tuned into Biles’ gymnastics career from a distance. She even threw a party at her home in Columbus, Ohio after Simone won her seventh gold medal at the Paris Olympics.
Shanon also joined in Simone’s marriage for Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens …and said she wished she was part of the ceremony.
“I want her to know that I love her. I’m very proud of her,” Shanon said. ‘I’m still waiting. I would love to sit down and talk to you and answer any questions you may have.”

TMZ Sports also spoke to Shanon in 2016… and she revealed at the time that she had been clean and sober since 2007.
No word on whether Simone Shanon will take her up on her offer… but it’s clear that at least one party is ready to make it happen.
