Spencer Pratt And Heidi Montag has filed a lawsuit against the city of Los Angeles and its Department of Water and Power (LADWP) following the destruction of their home during the Palisades wildfires.

Spencer, 41, and Heidi, 38, were among nearly two dozen plaintiffs — including Spencer’s mother Janet Pratt – in the lawsuit filed on Tuesday, January 21, per Rolling stone.

Rolling stone reported on Thursday, January 23 that the plaintiffs in the lawsuit allege that the city of LA and its water department mismanaged the water supply, leading to “an inescapable and unavoidable consequence.”

According to the newspaper, the lawsuit alleged that the city’s water department “made the conscious decision to operate the water supply system while the reservoir was empty and unusable as a ‘cost-saving’ measure.”

The lawsuit references the Santa Ynez Reservoir — which the lawsuit claims is awaiting repairs and has been “out of service since February 2024.”

“With the Santa Ynez Reservoir effectively out of service, the fire hydrants in Pacific Palisades failed after three tanks containing one million gallons of water each went dry within a twelve-hour period,” the lawsuit said. People.
