Spicin Foods Inc. Van Kansas City, KS, calls out more than 10,000 bottles of precious garlic -parmsan wings sauce because of complaints from bottles that foam when opened.
According to the details published online by the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA), the recall was started on 12 February 2025 and it is underway.
All recalled products were sent to one distribution means in Missouri. The product was further distributed under retailocations and distribution centers in Indiana, Kentucky, Texas, Colorado, Florida, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Iowa, Washington, Nevada, New York, Pennsylvania, California, Arizona and Wisconsin.
Foaming in sealed bottles can indicate a microbial growth, such as Clostridium-Botulinum, which thrives in environments with a low oxygen such as sauces. This bacterium produces a deadly toxin that can unnoticed food, which means a serious risk of botulism when they are consumed.

About Botulism
Untreated, botulism can paralyze the muscles needed for breathing, resulting in sudden death.
Anyone who has eaten one of the recalled products and has developed signs of botulism poisoning must immediately seek medical help. In botulism transferred by food, the symptoms generally start 18 to 36 hours after eating contaminated food. However, symptoms can start as soon as 6 hours after or up to 10 days later.
The symptoms of botulism can be some of all following: double visibility, blurred vision, hanging eyelids, unclear speech, swallowing problems, breathing difficulties, a thick sensitive tongue, dry mouth and muscle weakness. People with botulism poisoning may not show all these symptoms at the same time.
These symptoms are the result of muscle paralysis caused by the toxin. If untreated, the disease can progress and can worsen symptoms to cause paralyzing of specific muscles, including those used for breathing and those in the arms, legs and the body from the neck to the pelvic area.
