The Spider-Man Noir first appeared on screen in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse as a version of Peter Parker from another reality. The grim superhero was voiced by Nicolas Cage, which was well received by fans.

When could the Spider-Noir series be released?
The Spider-Man show is in the very early stages of development, so no release date has been announced yet.
If production continues at a steady pace, there’s a chance it will premiere in late 2025/early 2026 – but this is just an estimate. Spider-Noir will first be available on MGM+’s linear channel and then on Amazon Prime Video.
What will be the plot of the Spider-Noir series?
The series is based on the Spider-Man Noir comic books, which are part of the Marvel Noir universe – the franchise branch inspired by film noir and pulp fiction.
Published between 2009 and 2010, the miniseries features the alternate version of Peter Parker. He lives in 1930s New York City, consumed by the Great Depression. Spider-Man gets his powers during one of his investigations for the Daily Bugle newspaper: he is bitten by a poisonous spider hidden in an ancient artifact stolen by criminals.
The Amazon series will star Peter Parker as a weary, aging detective who reflects on his life as the only superhero in town.
Who are the cast and crew of the Spider-Noir series?
Nicholas Cage will star in the Amazon series, playing Spider-Man Noir. Cage’s appearance in the series marks his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe – in 2011, the actor played the main character in Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.
Joined on screen by Cage Brendan Gleeson, which you may know from the Harry Potter film series and The Banshees of Inisherin. According to rumors, he will play the villain.
Lamorne Morris, who you may have recently seen in Fargo season 4, has also joined the cast. He will play Robbie Robertson, an editor at the Daily Bugle newspaper.
Oren Uziel (22 Jump Street) and Steve Lightfoot (The Punisher) will serve as showrunners. They will perform Spider-Not alongside Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Amy Pascal, the mastermind behind Into the Spider-Verse.
The first two episodes are directed by Harry Bradbeer (Fleabag).
