You might imagine that spring collections would be a challenge for Stand Studio, the Stockholm-based brand best known for its faux fur and leather, but to Nellie Kamras’ credit, the lineup was lightweight. More lightness than focus; Many trend boxes are checked here. There were Western-style fringes on a black suede jacket and car wash-style midi skirts. There was also workwear, in a lovely cherry red suede overall and a chic leather peasant jacket and trousers. Shorts were short to knee length, and skirts were mini. Statement-making were jackets with broad shoulders and fitted waists.
The addition of woven fabrics and incredibly fine jerseys is new and welcome. Also notable is Kamras’ smart and chic take on denim dressing; she used light blue leather as a substitute for denim.
