Demi LovatoHer mental health issues caused a rift with her father, Patrick Lovato.
In 2013, she opened up about her various problems, including her bipolar disorder and eating disorders.
She said: “It caused relationship problems and certain behavior in the future. I learned that the reason behind that behavior was due to my father.”
Demi discussed their relationship further in her 2021 documentary, Dancing with the devilsaying, “…I longed for that relationship with him. Then I hated him because he was an addict and an alcoholic, and he was abusive to my mother. So I left him out because I felt like it would do more damage it did more than good to have him in my life.”
