State Medicaid Authority terminates Medride in the midst of a lawsuit, confusion

The Medicaid Authority of Colorado ended his contract with one of the largest transport providers in the state at the end of Wednesday and closed almost a week of suspensions, lawsuits and uncertainty.

Officials told Medride, which offers journeys to and from medical agreements for Medicaid patients that the company’s contract was terminated because it is said to be “in danger of the health and well -being of the public”. Officials accused the company of non -compliance with transport requirements – partly established after a vast fraud schedule was identified in which transport providers were involved in the Medicaid program 18 months ago – and of submitting claims that were not legitimate.

Among other things, the Ministry of Health Care and the Financing – which supervises Medicaid – that Medride had filed claims for journeys with “non -counseled minors, claims for kilometers that did not match the documented mileage and claims without corresponding medical appointment” Stumble with more than one passenger. Thousands of other journeys are said to miss the correct documentation.

“It is absolutely our goal that we ensure that people have safe access to journeys through the program (non-need transport),” said Adela Flores-Brennan, the medicoid director of the state, in an interview on Wednesday. “It is in mind that we have made this decision.”

In a statement, Medride officials said that they appeal to the termination decision and accused the Department – known as HCPF – of failure to work with the company because it wanted to come in name. The company provided more than 375,000 journeys last year, usually in the Colorado countryside.

If the State “would be prepared to sit with us, we could let all resolved this within 24 hours,” said Greg Harriman, the owner and president of Medride. “The longer this progresses, the longer medicaid patients gain access to mental health care and life-saving treatments.”

HCPF suspended Medride at the end of last week after he had accused the company of fraud, only to check that decision on Monday after Medride asked a judge to block the suspension.

Flores-Brennan said that the agency dropped the suspension due to ‘conflicting provisions’ in the Studies Act, and added that Medicaid was still busy with Medride who might have been busy with fraud.

The company has denied that statement.
