Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift/YouTubeTaylor SwiftThe “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” music video proves that her lilac short skort will never go out of style.
Swift, 34, premiered the video on Tuesday, August 20, featuring never-before-seen footage from rehearsals for her European leg Eras tour. At several points in the music video, she performed several POPFLEX Active pieces including a plum Twirl Skort, a pair of black Criss-Cross Hourglass Booty Shorts and the now viral Pirouette Skort with a matching Corset Bra.
Of course, Swifties know it wasn’t the first time the pop star wore the Pirouette Skort. In April, Swift uploaded a YouTube Short video overview of two weeks in her life. In one clip, she rocked the lilac skort and sports bra while playing pickleball with a Kansas City Chiefs paddle. (Swift’s friend, Travis Kelce, is close to the Chiefs.)
Seeing Swift in POPFLEX, a popular athletic brand in its own right, was completely surreal for the founder Cassey Ho. (The designer is a self-proclaimed fan of Swift and was lucky enough to get the 1989 secret session listening party in Los Angeles, along with a recent one Eras tour show.)
“She wore the skort in that ‘Fortnight’ video…and I was in the hair [salon] having my roots retouched and dying,” Ho shared exclusively We weekly in April. “I died because this was like my ultimate dream, the ultimate ultimate ultimate: there is no other artist or celebrity in the entire world that I would rather have my designs on.”
She added, “It is [been] an internal Swiftie goal of mine, so I can’t believe that dream came true… She released another one [‘Fortnight’] video and she’s actually wearing four PopFlex items, and it’s all attached [the Instagram account] Taylor Swift Style and I can’t believe it [it].”
In the second video, Swift wore both the Pirouette and Twirl skorts, as well as the corset bra and crossover booty shorts.
“Like she wears it so much, I can’t believe it,” Ho said Us.

Taylor Swift/YouTubeAfter fans identified Swift’s skort as POPFLEX Active, Ho was flooded with sales.
“When Taylor Swift Style first posted it and that video went out, we sold out of that in 15 minutes [lavender] colour. And then every other Pirouette skort started selling out, which is kind of crazy,” Ho recalled. “Then we thought, ‘Well, we should probably do a pre-order because I think Swifties want the one that Taylor is wearing and we also don’t want to deal with these dupes who are stealing my content and stealing a patented design. .’ That’s why we put it on pre-order.”
Ho explained that the pre-order sale would “take a few months” to perfectly match the color of the fabric swatches to the fabric swatches Swift had purchased.
“We literally have to weave the fabric and match the color exactly to this color so that it exactly matches what Taylor had,” Ho said. “That is not easy, because every time during the dying process it changes a little, due to the heat [and] whatever. Cutting out the patterns so that it really is made from scratch. So we’re trying to work as quickly as possible to get Swifties their skorts. I also want to make sure that the same quality is maintained, so I never want to rush anything.”
Although the Pirouette is Ho’s ‘favorite’ piece in her POPFLEX Active range, there are other pieces that she thought Swift would fit in exceptionally well.
“In my wildest dreams, I actually didn’t think it would be the Pirouette skort she would choose if she ever wore PopFlex. I always imagined her walking out in our Go With the Flow Jumpsuit,” Ho theorized in April. “It really resembles her style… but it is a beautiful swimsuit with flowy legs, toned arms and a large square neck, empire waist. I really feel like that’s her style, she could go on a date with Travis in it and she would be so cute. Oh, and of course there are pockets.”
