Danielle and Andrew West spent their first month as parents praying for their child to live.
Their son Owen, born six weeks premature in November 2015, developed necrotizing enterocolitis a few days after birth. Their doctor couldn’t tell them exactly where it came from.
Danielle remembers crying like she had never done before as her sister tried to comfort her. She felt an overwhelming sense of guilt.
