The terrorist who killed at least 10 people in a violent attack in New Orleans early Wednesday had a divorce so acrimonious that his then-wife obtained a restraining order against him.
Shamsud-Din Jabbarseen above in a video he posted was in the throes of divorce during the pandemic, when his wife, Shaneen Chantil Jabbarwent to court to obtain a restraining order.
We do not have a copy of the woman’s petition, but we do have the order of the judge who issued the restraining order. It states, in part: “Either party is prohibited from ‘threatening the other party or a child of either party with imminent bodily harm.’
The ban goes on to prohibit “intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly causing bodily harm to the other party or to a child of either party.”
The order also prevents either party from “removing the child from the school or child care facility where the child is currently enrolled.” And it goes on to prohibit “concealing or concealing the child from the other party” or “removing the child outside the geographic area determined by this Court.”
It’s not the first problem Jabbar has had with women. We spoke to a previous wife, who divorced him in 2016, and told us he had been abusive, but didn’t want to elaborate.
As we reported Jabbar plowed his pickup into a huge crowd on Bourbon Street, and shot two officers before being shot dead. At least thirty people were injured and ten people were killed in the massacre. Authorities found an ISIS flag in his truck.
