Sandman season 2 episode titles
According to Redanian Intelligence, season 2 is expected to contain twelve episodes, which will be released in two blocks on Netflix.
Here are the titles of six of them, in no particular order.
- The song of Orpheus – This episode is named after the special edition of The Sandman of the same name. The original story focused on the bard of Greek myth and his relationship with Dream.
- More devils than the vast expanse of hell can contain – The title refers to the song A Midsummer Night’s Dream from the collection The Sandman: Dream Country. It is also a quote from Shakespeare’s play.
- Short lives – The episode takes its name from the seventh collection of The Sandman. The book focuses on Delirium of the Endless and her search for her beloved brother Destruction.
- Family Blood – This title probably refers to the phrase “shedding family blood” – something Dream wants to avoid.
- The ruler of hell – It is most likely a reference to Lucifer Morningstar, played by Gwendoline Christie.
- Season of fog – This episode is named after the fourth collection of The Sandman. The book deals with a specific decision by Lucifer and its consequences.
The Sandman season 2 plot
The Sandman is an adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s critically acclaimed graphic novels. The first season was largely based on the volumes Preludes & Nocturne and The Doll’s House, although the story deviated from the source material in a number of ways.
The show’s creators will likely follow a similar path for the next season of the show. A scene at the end of the first season set up a major storyline from the fourth collection, Season of Mists, although we don’t expect the series to follow the graphic novel’s plot exactly.
If the episode titles are to be believed, season 2 will also feature plots from Dream Country and Brief Lives.
What do we expect to see in season 2 of the Netflix series? More Lucifer, for sure! You can expect your favorite demon to appear in his finest attire to spread chaos and destruction. The comics also introduce Destiny and Delirium, two other Endless, and the Norse gods Thor, Loki and Odin. We’ll also likely find out more about Morpheus and Nada’s romance.

According to fans, next to the black-clad Morpheus is Orpheus, dressed in a white robe. He is none other than the mythical singer who descended to the underworld to save his wife Eurydice.
