Season 4 of “The Umbrella Academy” was the most-watched streaming original in the U.S. during the week of August 9-15, according to Luminate.
The final part of the Netflix series was viewed 863.1 million minutes in its first full week on Netflix. Additionally, the new release renewed attention on previous releases, with Season 1 taking eighth place with 176.1 million minutes watched.
“A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder” continued to do well for Netflix, as did “Love Is Blind: UK,” at No. 2 with 335.4 million viewing minutes and No. 3 with 313.4 million viewing minutes, respectively. They were followed by Season 6 of “Love Island USA,” which was watched for 292.1 million minutes on Peacock in the third full week the finale was available.
The docuseries “American Murder: Laci Peterson” debuted in fifth place with 255.3 million views, while “Love of My Life” grew slightly from the previous week, landing in sixth place with 214.6 million. Besides ‘The Umbrella Academy’ Season 1, the titles with fewer than 200 million minutes watched were ‘Presumed Innocent’, ‘Blue Ribbon Baking Championship’ and ‘Evil’ Season 4.
“The Instigators” was the No. 1 title on the movie chart with 369.4 million minutes watched in its first week of availability on Apple TV+. Netlix’s “Inside the Mind of a Dog” debuted at No. 1 with 201.1 million minutes watched, followed by the second hit from last week’s top movie, “Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie,” which had 153 million minutes watched. . .
With fewer than 100 million viewing minutes were ‘Mission: Cross’, ‘Find Me Falling’, ‘Lolo and the Kid’, ‘One Fast Move’, ‘Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F’, ‘My Spy: The Eternal City’ and “A family affair.”
